Dr. Prashant Meshram is a fellowship trained, highly qualified, and experienced orthopedic surgeon, specialising in shoulder surgeries. With over 9 years of experience, Dr. Meshram is dedicated to providing exceptional care for sports injuries and age-related joint diseases of shoulder. He is renowned for his expertise in arthroscopic (keyhole) and joint replacement surgeries.
Dr. Meshram's remarkable credentials include training at prestigious institutions such as the Johns Hopkins Medical Institute in the USA and Seoul National University in South Korea. His achievements in the field of shoulder surgery have earned him membership in the esteemed American Shoulder & Elbow Surgeons Society, making him one of the only three Indian doctors to receive this distinction. He is also the Associate Editor of the top global scientific orthopedic journal, Clinical Orthopedics & Related Research.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Meshram is a prolific researcher and author, having published over 50 research articles and book chapters in international scientific journals. He has also delivered and co-authored over 60 presentations at international meetings worldwide. As a scientific reviewer for leading orthopedic journals, including the American Journal of Sports Medicine and Clinical Orthopedics and Related Research, Dr. Meshram actively contributes to advancing orthopedic knowledge.
Dr. Meshram completed his medical education at Grant Medical College & Sir JJ Hospital in Mumbai, followed by an masters in orthopedic (residency) at Seth GSMC & KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He also holds a diploma in national board/DNB orthopedics. Prior to his current role, he served as a shoulder specialist in prestigious hospitals in Dubai, UAE such as Medcare Orthopedic and Spine Hospital, Mediclinic City Hospital, Orthocure Medical Center, and Clemenceau Medical Center. He also has work experience at KEM and Sion Hospitals, Mumbai, where he gained valuable teaching experience and honed his clinical skills.
Driven by a passion for learning and professional growth, Dr. Meshram pursued specialised training in South Korea under the guidance of renowned shoulder specialist, Professor Dr. Joo Han Oh, at Seoul National University and Prof. Dr. Tae Kyun Kim. Recognising his exceptional skills, he was offered a fully funded fellowship at TK Hospital, the highest volume surgical center in South Korea for knee replacements, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Tae Kyun Kim. During his fellowship, Dr. Meshram not only participated in surgeries and conducted research but also managed fellowships and hospital administration.
Continuing his pursuit of excellence, Dr. Meshram was awarded the prestigious JW Marriott research fellowship at the renowned Johns Hopkins Medical Institute in the USA. This opportunity allowed him to further expand his knowledge in cutting-edge treatment modalities, including shoulder joint replacement, and collaborate with top international sports medicine surgeons and scholars.
